Agent Island

Agent Island is a free, MIT-licensed open-source desktop status companion for Claude Code and Codex on macOS and Windows. It gives developers a glanceable local view of whether their coding-agent sessions are running, waiting, completed, or need attention, so they do not need to keep the terminal in focus. The app is local-first: it has no product account and no product telemetry, and session data is not uploaded to Agent Island. Use it when you run several coding-agent sessions and want lightweight passive visibility plus a clear your-turn alert, without changing prompts, workflows, or orchestration. The project website and source are public, and the app is available as native desktop downloads.
